Once the berries have softened, mash them using a potato masher or fork
Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 5 minutes
Add chia seeds, maple syrup, and vanilla to the puree, stir
Remove from heat and set aside for 10 minutes to thicken

*Add more if you want more sweetness. You can substitute maple syrup with any other sweetener: honey, sugar, agave syrup, etc.Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
